Hello and Welcome to our website
A brief introduction of the band "Malibu", is as follows:
I, Edmund, play guitar, Martha my wife plays Keys, Joe Reing plays bass. We are looking for more singing voices to add to the group. If you play guitar, keys, drums, tambourine or cards, and have a drive to sing, we would love to meet you.
My main instrument is bass. I have played the Fender bass for more years professionally than I care to mention. My forte was Blues Power Trios like "Hendrix", Cream, and "Johnny Winter." I always played guitar, but started taking it very seriously over the last few decades. Now that I share vocals with Martha, I like the whole concept of playing guitar better than bass.
We have been on so many rocky roads musically, I am really surprised we haven't bagged it. I am a perfectionist in my own right, meaning that I try very hard to use the talent and intelligence God gave me, (this is to say he or she gave me any at all, LOL) .
The internet has really made it very available for songwriters to record their music and have it played universally, even on Mars. I don't have a mansion on the water, a collection of cars, and whatever might go along with being famous, but I do have this album, "Lucky Seven" .
What really makes my heart go out to all my musician friends, associates, colleagues, and all the wonderfully talented people, who played, sang, and engineered these songs is that they gave their time and expertise. Their belief in the material and me excelled with their performance. I always was and will be ever so grateful for their contributions. Everyone seemed to follow suit who participated. Some , who are no longer with us on earth anyway, have really played and sang out their souls.
Music was never just a hobby to me. I have always worked very hard at the job. These songs were written several years ago. Today, although I am a more advanced songwriter, I don't know if I would have as much luck as "Lucky Seven" , finding again such a powerful string of musicians.
As years pass and I listen to these songs, I am even more impressed with the outstanding talent that went into this album. I can't thank you dear people enough for the inspiration and for being there for me as this music train rode through town.
